My name is Christopher Houseman, but I go by Kit. I graduated from California State University, Fresno with a master's degree in linguistics with an emphasis in English as a second language in 1995. Subsequently, I lived abroad and taught English, first in Taiwan, and then in Japan. I now teach high school French in the Los Angeles area.
Working overseas was a great opportunity. I enjoyed my time in East Asia, however there comes a time when one wants to settle in his own country. For this reason, I refocused my career towards secondary education in the United States.
Having received my bachelor's degree in French, also from California State University, Fresno in 1993, my primary teaching interest is French language. I received my SB 2042 single-subject credential in French at California State University Dominguez Hills in 2007. I currently teach at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale.
On a personal note, I am 45 years old, married with two children, both boys, aged twelve and eleven. I have several hobbies, which I often enjoy with my family, including traveling, reading, and baseball. I have been blessed with excellent health.
